Daily Protection Solution for Urban Commuting Women in India


This project focused on creating a practical and stylish solution for women commuting by two wheeler and public transport in India. The design addresses key issues like sun exposure, air pollution, and personal safety, offering a versatile solution for everyday urban travel.
It offers multiple configurations to suit different conditions, with features like a detachable hood, integrated face mask, and breathable fabric for comfort. These elements ensure both safety and convenience, balancing comfort, protection, and flexibility, empowering women to commute confidently in urban settings.

How do you cover your head mostly?
Cover it with dupatta, or any cotton scarf.

Why do u cover your head in bus?
Due to pollution and also it feels private and safe.

What are the problems you face?
Tying & opening knot repeatedly to make face visible.

What are the problems you face?
The knot behind the head while wearing helmet .
Experimented with various cloth coverings, involving experienced and inexperienced
individuals.
Experienced could cover head well; observers struggled after five minutes; novices couldn't do it. Inspired ideas to simplify movements for all.
